Our Quality Process

Each item is unique and as a result we at Mid Missouri Laser take strict steps to ensure every item we cut or engrave meets top level quality. We feel it is important you understand our dedication and the processes we use to ensure you are receiving high quality products and services thus the following is what we do for every item that comes through our shop.

1. Designing

Designing is a fundamental step to quality products. Every design is gone though to ensure they are top notch and meet your requirements. High quality designs directly translate to our ability to create stunning and beautiful products.

2. Cutting / Engraving

After designing we enter the stage getting cutting and engraving. Part of this process includes strict checks on our machines and equipment to ensure they are performing correctly and at peak performance. Poorly maintained equipment leads to poor quality cuts and engravings.

3. Sanding

While we can engrave a variety of materials we deal with wood more than anything else. Once an item has been cut or engraved we then sand the item for a smooth feel. Sanding in vital when it comes to staining, paining and sealing items for a professional finish.

4. Staining / Painting

After a round of sanding your item is prepped and ready for stain or painting depending on your choice. Each item receives multiple coats for an extra durable finish.

5. Sanding #2

Once an item has been stained or painted there is often fine little wood hairs or possible bumps in the coating. Your items receive an additional light sanding to remove these imperfections in preparation for the final clear coat.

6. Clear Coat & Sanding #3

Every wood product we make receives a clear coat to further protect it from the sun, weather and other light mishaps such as bumps and scratches. Part of the coating process your item is sprayed with a clear coat and allowed to dry. It is then lightly sanded to knock down any imperfections and coated again. This process is repeated until the desired coating achieved. At a minimum all items receive two layers of clear coat.

7. Quality Control

After you item have been manufactured it enters its final stage of quality control. Each detail of your item is inspected and looked for faults that do not meet our standards. Ones that are not up to par are discarded and remade. Every item manufactured is checked for quality.

8. Packing and Shipping

After your item has been approved by quality control it then is prepared for shipping. Each item is wrapped and packed into high quality cardboard to prevent damage during transit. We insure all our packages at no additional cost to you. In the unlikely event that your item is damaged during transit you can rest easy knowing we will cover a replacement. Damaged items jump to the front of the line to be made again.
